THE STINGER BARRIER
The stinger is a fully automatic system providing rapid access and excellent security to vehicle parks with flow rates up to 200 per hour.
Stingers gearbox drives at a fast 4.5 second cycle time which is appreciated by the user, operators will appreciate Stingers plug-in Logic that makes maintenance or modifications a matter of seconds.
Long time reliability The sturdy electric gear drive has no hydraulics to leak or oil reserves that need topping up - a special spring system helps raise the barrier arm to keep motor loading to a minimum. Power interruptions can be dealt with by Stingers built in handwind facility, protected beneath a tamperporrf cover and with supplied handle. The barrier cabinets are powder coated yellow and internal components are zinc plated or powder coated.

If the pole is broken off, it is unlikely to affect the internal mechanism - a new pole or adaptor can be rapidly reffited and the barrier restored to normal operation with minimum delay. THE MEC 900
MEC 900 is an oil-hydraulic mechanism to raise and lower a beam barrier for traffic control. The MEC is suitable for industrial, public and private applications. Installation The barrer is installed by setting a base plate into a concrete foundation; anchor-ended plates are to be welded first to improve hold; the plate becomes fully concealed once enclosed into the body of the system.
The body in the shape of a cabinet, is mounted and fixed to the base plate and provides adequate housing for the hydraulic mechanism, which controls the motions of the beam and ensures perfect performance. The housing body is made of thick sheet steel, bent into a specially designed shape so to provide a strong and robust structure, able to bear the mechanical stress and vibrations that are produced when the barrier is operated. The beam is made of extruded, anodized aluminium R532, has rounded corners, no sharp edges, and elliptical profile; stylish and versatile, it can meet any length requirements. A specially designed expanding joint allows the various beam sections to be assembled into the desired length to suit the sites specifications. The aluminium sections and joints are factory pre-arranged on customers request. Among the features of the R532 beam is the idented profile, where a groove is provided along the lower side to take either an articulated curtain or rubber profile for anti-crush safety on the customers request. An indentation along the lateral side provides a seat for red phosphorescent stickers, which make the barrier visible in the dark and difficult sight conditions. Low voltage small blinking lamps fitted on the top side of the beam, or a single lamp on the top of the housing furtherimprove visibility. On request, an articulated beam and hinge can be provided for tunnels or sites with restricted space conditions, where total height clearance is limited to 2.5 meters minimum.
