FTM The FTM folding door with flexible door panels and pneumatic or electrical operation. The door opens 90 degrees in one direction. It is a very stable and functional industrial door for use in externally heavy conditions and generally applied in industrial and commercial buildings. Automatic operation of the door is desirable in intensive traffic situations or in cases where the vehicle and or load may not come into contact with the door, Specification/construction The FTM pneumatic folding door consists of one or two door leaves, a stable upper beam with double-action compressed air cylinder (s) and the control box. The door leaves are built up of a vertical tube construction and a horizontal folding arm. The PVC door panel is divided per door leaf into two halves which are attached together over the full height of the panel by means of a flexible coloured PVC hinge section. The door panel is attached to the main construction by clamping strips. The folding arm of the door construction hangs from the guide track of the upper beam via a sliding trolley. Materials The door frame and upper beam are made of steel. The door panel (7 to 10 mm thick) consists optionally of:
Finish The upper beam and all the door frame parts are finished in zinc epoxy..
Dimensions Maximum door area approx. 50m2 (based on an internal double door). Larger dimensions are possible subject to application conditions
Operation The door is opened by means of compressed air cylinders mounted above the door opening or in the case of electric operation by a single electric motor.

Operation In principle any form of actuator can be used. Standard actuators are : pull switch, key switch, push button, photocell, radar detector, induction loop detection or by remote control. Click here to see our range of control actuators. Safety As standard the door falls automatically open in the event of a power failure (other configurations are available). This only applies to the pneumatically operated door. the door panel hinge sections clearly mark the door leaves in the closed position and the edge of the panels n the open position
Technical specifications
Mounting structure requirements and connection Power supply (wall socket) and air supply (connection nipple with 1/2" internal diameter) must be present within 1 meter from the control box. The compressed air cylinder must be clean and dry.
